Here at The Cottage Bathe, we believe that the simple things in life are the best. With that philosophy in mind, we have created a line of handmade soaps and body care products that we feel are pure and simple, yet elegant and enchanting. All made with the finest ingredients for your personal pampering needs.
Our soaps are all made by hand, in the traditional cold process method, using 100% fresh, pure goat's milk that is provided by our own herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats. Our soaps are true goat's milk soaps. We also allow each bar of soap to cure for 4 weeks before it is offered for sale. This assures you of a long lasting bar of soap. The fresh goat's milk, combined with olive oil, palm kernel oil, coconut oil, shea butter and castor oil, creates a mild and creamy, long lasting bar of soap that your skin will love.
So before you step into the bathe or shower again, come to
The Cottage Bathe and you too can experience the enchantment of bathing
with handmade goat's milk soaps. |

We are very proud to announce that the world renowned San Diego Zoo, now has 7 of our Nigerian Dwarf goats in their children's petting zoo! We donated Kimmy and Butterscotch to them in 2006 and they were the absolute hit of the petting zoo. With their small size and friendly, sweet personalities, the children just fell in love them. So when the zoo called us last year and requested more goats, we were more than happy to accommodate them as we just happened to have 7 new baby goats.
This year brought us 7 new babies within 6 days. Roxy gave us our first ever set of quadruplets! What an exciting time. The Orange County Zoo was kind enough to take Roxy, her quadruplets and one other little guy to their petting zoo. So we now have 6 goats in The Orange County Zoo as well as the 7 that are at San Diego. What a great life for these zoo goats.
It is with heavy hearts that we have made the decision to leave the soap business. Not because we don't love it, but due to family obligations, my health issues, time constraints, pending legislature that will severely hurt anyone in the handmade soap business and extreme price increases on everything from olive oil to shipping, we have decided it is time for us to stop.
If you are interested in purchasing The Cottage Bathe, please feel free to email us to discuss this matter. We love what we do, but find it just isn't feasible for us to continue at this time in our lives. We thank all of you who have supported us in one way or another. Bryan and John at The Spruce Moose will soon be adding our products to their website as we will continue to work with them for the time being. It has been a great experience for us and we are letting the doors open to a future involment in soap when some of our current obligations are fulfilled and time allows.
